Roto-Disc now offers its Spherical valves with a flat-top “Crust Breaker” dome. This unique design provides a solution for applications where a crust of material can form above the valve and hinder flow. The modified “flat” dome pushes against material upstream as it opens, breaking up a crust and allowing material to flow. The dome travels on the same arc and seats in the same manner as a standard dome. It is available on the entire line of its industry-leading Spherical shut-off valves and can be retro-fitted to existing valves.
